tiger barbs

at my lsf they keep tiger barbs and goldfish together, do you think i could do this

Hmmm ... that's an interesting set-up. I'd say no ... fancy goldfish are slow swimmers with relatively big fins that would be too tempting for the Barbs. The common goldfish / comets really need ponds .. or large tanks.

I'd be interested to hear what else others have to say.

Tigers need warmer water then the goldfish do, they also love to nip on long fins I had to move my tigers to a different tank after coming home to a long fin rosey missing all of his fins.

You were on the right track, you needed to finish telling him it's not a good idea. It's not advisable due to different water temps and aggression issues.
