I found 3 of these tiny white starfishes in my tank. I've noticed one before and thought it was a sponge or something but I saw one today moving. Sorry the pic it blurry they are so small. There is 2 on this penny. I've read some can way corals so I have removed them. Anybody know about these and if they are reef safe?

Asterina starfish.

They can multiple quickly but aren't harmful, part of CUC.

I have a ton of them in my 28 biocube and I been keeping a watchful eye on them for week,so far they are only eating algae.i was concerned as you are and I can honestly say they haven't touched a piece of coral in my tank

OK well I removed about 6 of them. I know there is a dark colored one that looks just like it that eats corals. Thanks
