Too powerful filter?

Idk what's up but I've had 3 neon tetras and a Micky mouse platty stuck to the filter dead idk if something killed them or if the suction is too powerful i have a aqua clear 250. I've put the rest of my tetras in a 5 gallon tank any their not sick or anything so idk what's up

I've run huge filters such as Fluval FX5's and never had small fish like neons sucked up. IMO the only reason fish, especially one the size of a platy, would get suck to a filter intake is if it was sick and weak.
