Today i bought a smithsonian sea monsters triops kit and i wasn't going to set it up for 7-10 days and when the triops get bigger i was going to put them in a 2.5 gallon tank and i was wondering about a couple things has anybody kept triops with ghost shrimp? Can you use a small power filter with triops if so which one? How hard is it to breed triops?

Alot of triops are males or females, I don't remember which one. But breeding them is so hard for this reason, you get most if not all, as the same sex. Google is your friend, there is plenty of advice on them elsewhere, but first you need to check the packet/whatever and see what species they are. I'd put a hob filter with a sponge over the intake.

I don't know that you need a filter or if they will be ok with one to be honest. Their lifespan is only about 3 weeks so i wouldn't really put them in an aquarium with fish. Also, they'd be eaten before they get to full size I'd think.

I'm not sure exactly hat spcieces but the kit is a smithsonian prehistoric sea monsters triops kit. What filter do u reccomend exactly?
