I have..50G-AC50 filter..now added a AC-70 in addition
had 4 resporas
7 neon tetras
5 black skirted tetras
1 Beta
added 3 cory cats..they died within 3 days..took the Beta, 5 neons and a respora with them..since then added the AC70 thinking I was maybe underfiltered..I think I made the mistake of just dumping the corys with their water in the tank..not adding any more fish for awhile. Lost another neon to the 70 intake. Question...where can I find a diffuser for the intake as not to suck up the smaller fish...should I add aquarium salt to the tank, was advised to do so, when can I replace some neons? New to this group I have had my 50G for about 10 mo. before that I had a 40 with the AC50 filter, I also have noticed a bit of algae build up since I went to the 50G. Will the additional AC70 help slow that process down? Thanks Bob in Seattle

The neon was not sucked into the intake while alive and healthy. Your problems are not filtration, but, rather the introduction of disease with new fish.
