Unpolished gemstones in tank

Hi there,

I came home yesterday and my very proud husband had built this little cavern for the fish. I just want to make sure it is safe, your thoughts? We get these gem stones when we go 'panning for gemstones' at a local place... Basically they sell you a bucket of sand with random gems in it and you sift it is water. He did soak them first as well...

I wouldn't worry about it. They shouldn't leech anything harmful into the water.
