I have an old 10 gallon Marineland aquarium that at one time had Coppersafe in it. I would like to use it as a sump to sit a Bubble King Mini 160 skimmer, my thermometer, and my heater. Would this be safe? If not, can it be cleaned, or is it a lost cause?

What do you think? After it had Coppersafe in it, I cleaned it with bleach water, and rinsed it very well, then let it sit in the sun for a week on my back porch. Not sure if any of that helped LOL.

I dont think you`ll be able to use it if you have any inverts in your tank. Ten gallon tanks are pretty cheap so it `s not worth the risk.

It's just not worth the risk. Like Mike said, brand new 10g's are cheap... cheaper than a single piece of coral for your tank.
