I am going away for 5 days. Is it ok to leave my tanks unfed. I have cichlids in one tank, angelfish in another and barbs in the other 2 tanks

20 bucks a tank may be expensive. Do u neighbor/friend that can do it? 5 days seems long not to feed your fish.

Chain petstores have little gel based feeders. They sell them in a pack of two, each being a 5 day feeder, or a single pack 14 day feeder, either being like $5. You could pick one of those up. They're supposedly better than the feeding blocks cos they aren't made of plaster. But if you think you're going to be going away regularly, I'd totally just spring for the automatic feeder. Amazon has them for like $15, or REALLY high tech ones for like $25.
