water change in a 3 gallon...how much..

What is 10% of 3 gallons??? I'm not a wiz at math lol...I want to make sure I'm changing the right amount of water out of my 3 gallon setup..

I take out a few cupfuls of my 4g pico. I use those chinese food soup takeout containers, about 3/4 to 1g I guess. Just enough to make sure everything is still covered.

10% of 3 is .3 gallons lol. Bit more than a liter or a little more than half of a 2 liter soda bottle. You can change more than that though easily since water changes in a pico are quite work free.

You need to do a 50% water change every two weeks in a 3 gallon Pico.Less stress on inhabitants .Just measure from the correct water line halfway down.Change that much.Works for me,see video at Ricksreef1 on YouTube.

you can change as much as you want providing the ph and temp is the same.
