Water in air pump electric motor :(

The water probably got in from back siphoning. Was the power off for a bit? Take the pump apart, dry it out well with a hairdryer, or whatever you have. Put it back together, and try it. It should be fine. Either have the pump higher than the water level, or use a checkvalve in the airline. Either will stop water from entering the pump.

We have a check valve so I have no idea how it got in there. We are going to buy a new one in the morning
 
Very odd. Normally the checks will stop backflow, maybe defective. Guess keeping the pump up higher than the water level.
