What coral for a 14g biocube with stock hood lights

Would it be possible to buy a LED flood light and shine it through the side of the biocube on the coral or nem? It would be a cheap solution...

Can't help but put my 2 cents in. All the info. I have read on this topic is too overwhelming for an ignoramus like myself. Makes my head swim! I would like to make the switch eventually . But only after someone explains what works in simple English. Without having a degree in electronics to hook it up
