If it is, it's because of excess nutrients in the water or high phosphates. What is your feeding schedule, and do you use RODI or tap water for topoffs and PWC's?

Tap water the tank has been running for close to 4 -6 months now and it just recently appeared in the last week or so. Should I remove it or is there something that I can do to get rid of it if I need to. I feed twice a day

Tap water usually has a lot of phosphates in it, and will cause algae like this. Do you have a phosphate test kit? I would also recommend using RODI from here on out for changes and topoffs. Either buy it by the gallon at a LFS or invest in a unit. You can get them for under a couple hundred bucks...

Also cut feeding down to once a day at most. Some people do twice a week lol

Yeah I feed mine every other day. I've heard of people feeding 2 times a week, but then I think man if I only got to eat twice a week, I'd be pissed and hungry ?
