what kind of barb is this?

Looking for a name on this barb, so I can look into keeping them...I don't have much to go on, but barbus ???, they get about 5 inches long have a black stripe and a red strike running their length, and they're a longer fish, not a tiger barbish type of tall fish.

It may be a red torpedo barb, or red-lined. Are there any other barbs that fit this description? I'm not really sold that it's a red torpedo barb yet.

I believe what your describing is a Puntius denisoni, sold under a variety of names including those you listed. http://tropicalfishgallery.com/species-gallery/cyprinid/Puntius_dennisoni.html is the fish in question.
