Aquarium Advice Newbie
Heya.
I have an empty 29 gallon tank, and I have no clue what to do with it. I really wanted to go salt water, but it would cost me around $300 for just a basic FOWLR that is of decent quality. I can barely afford that, and I don't really want to spend that much, but I find SW fish so much more fascinating. I really had my heart set on a sweet angler or lionfish.
But I can set up a really nice freshwater tank for a lot cheaper, and that would most likely be best for my money situation right now, but I am having a hard time finding an interesting speciman.
I really wanted something cool like a dwarf snakefish, but well you know the story with those. I have kept oscars, cichlids, and piranha for years, so those don't interest or appeal to me anymore either.
So I figured I'd ask for some advice on a potential fish. My local fish store has NOTHING, literally 2 small rows of tanks, half of them empty, the other half diseased.
I was researching small spiny eels, and was sort of interested, but not really. Looked at african butterflies, not interested.
I was looking at puffers, and they're pretty cool, but all I could find was dwarf puffers, and aren't the ones like the Target Puffer brackish?
Anyway, does anybody got any suggestions on some cool freshwater fish!?
Thanks.
[I'll buy the equipment for the fish when I figure out what I want, since I read the sticky at the top]
