I'm in the midst of having an algae takeover in my tank. Apparently i dont have any fish nor coral in my tank other than snails, rocks, pods, and macro algaes. My usual lighting hours is 10 hours daily, but I dont know which light will I'll be using for macro algaes. Is it the ACTINIC or the DAYLIGHT? and how long should i need to keep the lights on?

the algae is getting more from the daylight.
what are you saying? do you want an algae display tank?
do you want a solution to the algae problem?

I want to stop the green algae film, but to a point not to kill my fire fern algae. is it possible?

Algae prefer light from the red end of the spectrum. That means both macro and microalgae! Nitrates and phosphates also play a role in growth and production.

aw, oh well guess ill be needing a algae grazing fish then. Thanks anyway guys. :)
