My scarlet temple plants are getting a green "sand" on some of their leaves.
It looks like a cyanobacteria but isn't. It's sandy vs. slimy and it don't come off. Also the leaves are curling down. What does this?
These temples have been here for about a month. Nitrates 15ppm (even after frequent water changes, it rises to 15ppm rapidly then stays), no ammonia or nitrites, 10g with dual 25 watt 5000K CFLs, occasional dosing with API Leaf Zone, MgSO4 every couple days, and my Amazon Swords are loving it. Gravel with compost soil under for substrate.
