Just bought a tank.
I live in Northern California in the Sacramento Valley where the temperatures range from cold nights to warm days.
I want two heaters for the tank setup so I have an even heat distribution and some redundancy in case of a heater failure.
It is a 155g bow front glass tank.
I plan to use a fluval (FX5?) canister filter (or equivalent).

House is cold in winter, but I live alone, and I don't mind (I just pull on a sweater and make tea).
I don't us heat very often, although now I'll have to consider the fish, and might have to run the heat a bit more.

Which heaters seem to be the best when considering these factors?

Reliability
Power
Design
Value

What did I forget?

Thanks for your comments!

A lot of people like the aqueon pro series heaters. I like my marineland heater, but ever since there was a recall on them people stopped using them.

I had a Marineland heater that I liked, but since the recall I've been using the Fluval M series. So far it seems to be of the same quality as their other products. It doesn't look as obtrusive as some of my past heaters which is nice for a display tank.
