Why do bluegill do this

Recently I have seen my two a bay blue hill that I caught in a minnow trap acting weird well I think at time they rush against a stick in the tank like trying to get a scratch they do this not often tho

The other thing is they put up there spines up and down repetitive sometimes

And the last thing is they swim very fast then pause for half a second and repeat

Are any of this things something I have to worry about I am a beginner this is my first tank it is 10 gallons

Might be just different water than they are used to and just adjusting.
