Worms

I woke at 3 am. I turned on my aquarium light and saw hundreds of planara worms I guess. I rarely see them during the day. I will stop feeding daily. I used to feed flakes, now feeding brine shrimp. I have plants so I don't sweep the substrate. What should I do?

I'd just cut back on feeding and see if their numbers reduce. A sprinkle of fenbendazole will make them disappear in a day. I've used it without any ill effects to fry or shrimp, but I've heard that it can have issues with apple snails. I've never had any bad things happen because of it, though.

safeguard or panacur dog dewormer at petsmart, might be able to find more sources through google. It only takes a tiny bit so there's no need to get a large amount.

I didn't feed at all yesterday, maybe that's why?

Could be. I'd just cut back on feeding and see what happens. Fish will eat the worms also.
