I my tank has been up for about 8 or 9 months now and I'm starting to get hammered with BBA. It has been getting progressively worse in the past week or so, but nothing has changed besides me doing a little big bigger of a water change every week. I dose ferts after each water change, and my co2 drop check stays a solid green.

The only thing I can think of is my lights. I have a 4x39w nova extreme with the original bulbs (2 tropical waves and 2 10k true lumens). Could it be time to change them out? Could old lighting cause BBA?

So that is two 6500k and two 10000k T5HO bulbs, no? Seems like a massive amount of light for a 40b.
What is your photoperiod?

2 hours with 1 6500 and 1 10k...then a blast with all 4 for a half hour, then 2 hours with the other set
