Just finished fishless cycling my 20 gallon. Only took 2 1/2 weeks with a cartridge from my 10.
The 10 gallon inhabitants went to the 20 (4 fish). The betta goes to the 10 with a mystery snail. He has a heater and filter now. The 2 the betta was in got cleaned and put away.
Now...I have to learn to leave the tanks alone except for feeding and cleaning. That has been my worst newbie habit. Always monkeying and changing and losing fish as a result. No new fish or decorations or changes for at least 3 months! Wish me luck!
