Help! Got baking soda in my tank!

I'm cycling my new tank with some LR before I transfer my current aquarium over. Today I spilled some baking soda into it while cleaning the house. It was about 1/4 of a cup.. Will this affect anything???

Should be fine, check your levels prior to.

It should precipitate out. Your kH can only go soo high so I wouldn't imagine it'll be an issue. Could have caused major issues if fish were in the tank though so I wouldn't make a habit of dumping large amounts of it in the tank randomly

90 plus 45 sump

Just double check your alkalinity and pH to make sure they're stable before adding anything live. I use baking soda in my 75 as an alkalinity booster.
