is PVC cement safe?

I'm gonna be finishing up my sump setup soon, and I just wanted to be sure....is PVC cement fish safe? (once it's dried, of course)

Get oateys "black label" if you want to be certain, however any PVC cement that has "for use with potable water" is totally safe once its dried.

It's safe, just wait 24 hrs. after cementing before using. Even though it dries quickly there are always toxic fumes.
