uhhh... my clam moved 5 inches last night...

They have the ability to propel themselves forward, usually to find a better suited area.
 
Clams I've actually dug for (in Alaska) are very fast when they expel that jet of water.
 
oh, that makes sense, it was in the middle of the tank somewhat submerged in the substrate with a small rock under it for it to hopefully attach to. i thought i was going crazy or something.
 
Naw.....I have a derasa clam that moved several times until it 'found' a place to settle.

I recently got a smaller sized crocea that moved over a couple of inches....and then I think the naughty tangs may have swam past it too fast because it was also turned 90 degrees from how I placed it.

lol i gotta do some matinence to the tank then ill make a new vid. ill ad pics too so we can see the colors better.
