Advice for a noobie?

My 2.5 gallon tanks are coming in on tuesday ( i have two)

I got 2 tetra 25w heaters
and then the aqueon mini bow kit 2.5 came with the filter the light and hood.

My question

After I let them cycle what should i add

I have one betta for each tank

Should I do softscapping or hardscapping.

I will not be adding other fish to the tank

I am a first time fish owner. atm my two bettas are in two one gallon bowls but they are over an inch so I decided to upgrade.

I'm not sure what you mean by hardscaping or softscaping.

If you are talking about planted vs. rockscaping, Bettas love plants. I have a minibow like you are getting. Java fern grows well in those with the lighting they come with. Your fish will thank you for that!

Good for you on getting larger tanks for the bettas, they need more space than the LFS usually say.
