I have a male betta in a 10 gallon and recently started getting some algae so i was wondering what i could put in there that he won't attack?

It just depends on the fish. You could try getting some malaysian trumpet snails though, they are really good cleaners. :)

what kind of algae are you having problems with?

best algae eater out there.....

Nerites would probably be the second best (after the scrubber).

A lot depends on what kind of algae you have too. If its just the brown stuff (diatoms) those usually clear up on their own.

Have to agree with mgamer here as I don't think getting a fish specifically for an algae problem should happen. Find the source of your algae and fix it. Clean your tank using the brush and you'll be good. If you don't wanna go that route then id go for either one of the snails mentioned here. If you don't wanna go that route then last resort id go with a few otos. But only as a last resort.
