So I have a 29 Gal tank, with some plastic plants, some hiding spots, emperor 280 (50gal filter), stocked with: 1x med gold gourami, 1x med paradise gourami, 5x med/lg tiger barbs. I was thinking to add either one or two siamese algae eaters or a small pleco type fish.

The question is: any thoughts on which i should pick the SAE or pleco? also which other fish can I add? I love the way the Red Zebra looks, just have no experience with them or how they would interact with the other fish. any suggestions on which colorful lively fish i could add?

attached is a picture of the tank.

THANKS!!

You may be limited with those 5 tiger barbs in there. If they don't nip your other fish into illness and death, they will nip each other until they form a very specific pecking order.

That tank looks pristine. You'll need algae wafers for you algae eaters.

SAE are agressive little things--with the aggression of the barbs, I'm thinking the bristlenose is the cooler option.
