Does high ph contribute to high ammonia? This is my ph (regular and high range). My ph has always been this high and my ammonia is always .25 or .50, even before I had the stock I do.IMG_5945.jpg

No, high pH doesn't cause ammonia, I have the same pH and 0 ammonia. My tap water does have 0.25 ammonia, so I wait 24 hours after water changes to test the water. By then my beneficial bacteria have changed the ammonia to nitrites and then nitrAtes. Prime detoxifies ammonia but it will still show up on a water test. If it is not a cycling issue or overstocking issue I would check your tap water for ammonia.
