If I put my fingers in the tank it will come over and it will swim through them. It will sometimes keep still while I gently rub its side

Probably eyeing them off :)

That is really tame compared to mine. They are very used to me but not to that level.

I've never heard of this. I've had my Angel about 4 years and she still occasionally startles if I move to fast near the tank. Petting a fish, who knew?

I've had him about 2 years. It's always at the front of the tank. Doesn't shy away when I walk over

He's in love, sorry couldn't help myself.

Is it really that odd of behavior? All my Bettas will come to the front of the tank when I come over to it and if I put my fingers in the tank my vail tail likes to wrap his tail around it. And some of my older mollies will rest in my hand if I put it in the tank

Keep calm and rock on

My senegal bichir gets hand fed so he's really comfortable with me. He swims through my fingers, follows my hand around the tank, and allows me to rub his sides.
