what are some harmful algae type and what do they look like?

what are some benificial algaes?

i know coralline algae is a nice algae to have growing on live rock, but i also have plant like stuff growin on one rock, is that bad?

just found out the plant growth is Halimeda Plant i'm so happy and lovign this new aquarium, i'm having so much fun with it

oh i don't have a problem lol i've only have my tank running for about a month now i'm just wonderign about the different algae and what effects they have
