Picked up some corals today. Some for the shop and some for me (I think I earned it after all the acclimating I did today lol). Got a war coral and a galaxia!

I'd do the uv inline on a return. That way you don't get the extra heat and power from the dedicated pump. Also consider 1 compartment for the drain/skimmer. You don't want it too tight. Personally I'd go with a bare bottom. Dsb can be a problem and it's money you could spend on lr and/or macro algae for the refugium section. Other than that looks great!!

This is my sump

Nice. What macro algae are you using in the refuge? High baffles, you must don't get a lot back flow when the return pump is off.

Congratulations on your new corals, now, where are the pictures? LOL.

Lol. The lights were already off when they went in. I'll get some later today when they are on. But- they both looked very happy. The galaxia has its feeders out in minutes and the war coral was poofy this morning.

I have cheato and a small mangrove type plant. No I don't get a lot of back flow. I drill the 90s where the flex nozzle exits into the dt so there's no siphon

Great, a healthy coral is a happy coral! :)

How's the store coming? When is the grand opening?

Good. Finished the last of the FOWLR show tank yesterday. It's huge. Lol. I'll have to take a pic for you guys. Lol. We have some stock in now. Just one last tank to tweak before I will put corals in it. Then we open on Saturday. I've never been so crazy in my life. Lol.

Yeah, I bet!! A fun, exciting crazy though, I'm sure. Glad to here of your progress, I am truly envious.. Would love to see a couple pics!
Best of luck!!

Here are the tanks I've set up over the last couple months. All the stands were custom built by my husband and his buddies.

This is the FOWLR show tank. It's 365 gallons.

The pics are a little cloudy because the slippery dick wrasse loves to kick up some dirt. Lol

Here is the reef show tank. It's 90 gallons.

I have to install the rest of the lighting tomorrow. everything is plumed so that it is all on the same system.

This is the 300 gallon tank for the corals. This is by far my favorite tank in the shop as far as design. It's almost completely cycled (tomorrow should be done) and then I will start adding livestock over the next 5 days.

I also have an invert tank system that is 150 gallons but it's nothing fancy. Just 16 small tanks all linked up to the same system.

So what do you guys think?

Looks really nice!! I'm a custom cabinet guy, and that display looks really first-rate. Great idea with the shelving on the sides for stock. It resembles my entertainment center, but w a huge tank instead of a flat screen!
The Queen and the Trigger are stunning , as is the reef tank.
Fingers crossed for you!!

That's what we were trying to go for. Lol. And thanks!
