What is the worst level of ammonia. I know all ammonia is bad, but what is the worst level to the point where you need something to lower it.

If u have any signs of ammonia you want to remove it immediately. I mean a 0.25 is okay I guess lol but I wouldnt let it go do a water change clean the gravel with the vacuum and possibly cut down on feeding ammonia should be 0 along with your nitrite

any amount of ammonia should be removed asap, as it causes permanent damage to your fish even at low concentrations
