Looks like a trumpet or candycane coral to me. Give it some time to open up. It's looks like it's pulled down tight.

Ok, I thought I was told trumpet, and the pic was taken right after it was introduced to the tank, but either it really has not opened up much. Where should it be placed in the tank, low, high, middle?

[acronym:a29ad951db="Large polyped Scleractinian (stoney) coral"]LPS[/acronym:a29ad951db] aren't as light demanding so low to mid would be fine with a moderate waterflow.

I had mine high in the tank in a place with very little water flow. Can beleive the difference after moving it lower to a place where it would get moderate water flow.

it is amazing how the slightest decrease or increase in water flow can bring a coral to life..! picky buggers..!
