I notice threads that get a lot of attention become stickies (ex.. post your cichlid setup, post your full tank shot here, etc...). I was wondering if this thread can become a sticky also? Thanks for keeping this thread active, you all have lovely beautiful fish.

Absolutely love my African Brown Knife, just comes out to see whats going on then goes back into hiding! Or sometimes it acts like an old man chasing kids off its lawn. Pretty funny fish cool to watch swim with an awesome personailty!

I love all my fish, but this has to be my favorite picture of one. I believe it is a Bicolor Dottyback :). I got him and a Yellow Tang to live with my mated tomato clown pair (who has killed two fish, almost a third one which we are returning to the store this week) He does just great in my semi-aggresive tank. Now i just need to evacuate my poor chromis :/

Yep bicolor dottyback. Dottybacks will stand up to ANYTHING!

Exactly. And a mated territorial aggresive female tomato clown (lots of adjectives haha) is a bully who needs someone who can hold their own

If you think they are bad try putting fish in with my mated pair of maroon clowns. I can't even keep inverts. Once my tank upgrade is finished and they're in their permanent home hopefully they calm down a bit with a big tank.

They're tiny right now so they're not too aggressive, but I'm definitely adding them last to the bigger tank. I don't want them to go crazy at anybody.

The female tomato of mine is named Momma. She is a good 3-4 inches and the male is only 1 inch. She has killed 1 chromis and one dottyback. I added another dottyback and he is faring just fine. As to the other chromis she didnt kill...she almost did. He was bleeding a few days ago but is all healed up. I am going to sell him back, the poor guy is really suffering. This is all my fish in my salwater. (they are all my favorite really)

Wow they must be pretty aggressive if they managed to kill a dottyback! You must have your hands full.

Indeed. Momma is the killer. The yellow tang and new dottyback are standing their ground and now the peaceful chromis is getting the short end of it :/ In fact the other chromis (there were two, now there is one) was killed because momma bit off one of his fins and he died of stress/exhaustion. I tried saving him, but he couldnt make it. The dottyback had his gills ripped out of him. Thats the worse part.

Current favorite is definitely my longfin GBR. He's not the prettiest one I've had, but his personality makes up for it :) My threadfin rainbowfish males are close seconds.
