I have a 30 gallon heavily planted freshwater tank. The tank has 15 neon tetras and 5 otocinclus cats. The tank has been up and running great for almost 2 years. I had minor algae problems over hat time. I introduced 2 months ago some red cherry shrimp to the tank and I believe in that water there was some green hair algae. I now have it growing all over my plants. I have a HO T5 light hood, that I keep on for about 7 hours a day. Any suggestions about the removal of he green hair algae ( the long green stringy stuff ) that the Otis don't seem to eat. Almost impossible to manually get it off plants without tearing the plants up. Help.........
