I was just curious what y'all have done and your experiences. Thanks for everyone's input.

I pulled the DW today to clean off all the muck that was floating on r around it. Boiled it again and brushed it off. Looks much better.
I had just a lil bit of flame moss that I attached to it in some different spots with superglue in the hopes it will take off.

I'm going to be putting a DIY CO2 on my 20L this weekend.
I'm sure I'll end up having some questions even though I have read up on how to set it up and found numerous recipes for the mixture.
Speaking of which I ordered the champagne yeast for a more stable and longer lasting mixture.
One question that I haven't answered as of yet though....
How do you keep from gassing your fish when the lights go out?
The co2 is still being put into the tank. I know that water movement and air stones would rid the tank of co2 during the night.
Does everyone setup an air stone on a timer to come on when the lights go off?

You can disconnect the hose from the generator or yes, add an air stone on a timer to come on after lights out...

sit in silence...

I just pulled it when the lights went off. Never had a problem. I'm going pressurized now, the smell + the upkeep was just too much. Good luck! (y)

Just received the call from my wife while I'm working that my rams have passed.
I just checked all water parameters Tuesday and it was all good. I don't have an answer and that troubles me. I really loved those two. I will be checking water again when I get home to see if I can find something that may have caused this saddened day for me.
My apologies to Bandit!
You provided quality fish 2nd to none and I dropped the ball somehow.
I will try again when I know I'm in a good spot.

Both of the fish?:(

Yes, both of them. I am sorry Bandit; trust me when I say that.
I would sit and watch them for hours at a time.

I dosed PPS to this schedule:
Rotated micro and macro.
Mon - Micro 2ml
Tues - Macro 2 ml
Wed - Micro 2 ml......etc

Metricide 1 ml daily with ferts 1 hour before lights
Am I doing something wrong?

Just tested my water and here is my results:
PH 7.6 Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0
Nitrate 20 GH 7 KH 6
Phosphates thru the roof at almost 5.0. Phosphates were at 2.0 on Tues prior to my PWC. I checked mainly due to the melting I mentioned in prior post from some of the plants.
I can only assume that increase in phosphates is what caused this tragedy.
Going to google a little to find out more.

Quick checks and my past experience say P04 is not it??
I wish I could offer advice to correct what is happening.
You say the cardinals are all still good?
I can't fix your water issues if even have any, but I can fix your lack of rams.
I'll Pm you about bandit warranty....
Sorry about your loss.

I am in no way implicating the fish were sick.
They were "sick" but in a good way I assure you bandit.
The cardinals are still going like nothing is wrong.
I don't have a clue if it's not the PO4 then.
That's the only thing that seemed considerably high to me.
Doing a 50% water change.
That can't hurt.

I don't think fish were sick either but there is a lot more to be considered..
Check my Pm and lets see how your tank shakes out .
If all your cards hold up I got your next pair when you are ready on me.
Water changes in a healthy tank never hurt!(y)
