How frequently should I feed my Green Wolf Eel?

Hi everyone,

I just bought a Green Wolf Eel(Congrogadus subducens) yesterday and I was wondering how often I should feed it? The GWE is a 6-7" Male and about the diameter of a 1/2" PVC pipe.

Last night I fed him a whole piece of krill which he strugged to get down because of the shape. I'm thinking in the future I'll cut the krill in 2 pieces to make it easier to swallow. Anyway, how often should I feed the GWE? Every day? Every other day?

His only tankmate is a Green Spotted Puffer which I feed about 5 days a week depending on the size of each meal. I was thinking I'd try a similar schedule but I've never kept an eel before, then again, this is a pseudochromis and not an eel and he's quite active.

I would suggest every other day, for both fish.

eels produce a lot of waste matter which means that you will need good Chemical, Mechanical and Biological filtration going as well a good protein skimmer to keep the water quality up.
