Freshwater ick is not saltwater ich. You need to do quarantine with a copper treatment along with leaving the display fallow for 6-8 weeks so the ich in the sandbed can finish its life cycle and die off.

The heat thing only works with freshwater ich. Saltwater ich looks similar and has a similar life cycle as freshwater ich, but the similarities pretty much end there. Studies show that kill kill saltwater ich with heat you'd have to get the temp up high enough to kill everything else in the tank as well.

It is a violation of federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labelling.
