Hi I'm upgrading from a 10 gallon guppy
Tank to 29 gallon cichlid tank. Right now I'm trying to cycle the tank... I moved over all of my water from 10 gallon, the live plants, and the fish. New rocks/sand, heater, and a canister filter. First time using a canister filter- I got the 29 gallon setup for free. Tested water at store and apparently ammonia is normal, only high nitrates and nitrites. Hope cycling doesn't go too slow.
Plan is to get a couple cichlids... Small ones. Saw some beautiful dwarf cichlids that id like to get once tank is cycled. Not sure if I should give guppies away or hope they work out okay with the cichlids.
Any tips or suggestions on my tank would be great.
