I wish I could get a tank that big

My hubby got me two of them, the same size, for free. An office building was tearing them out and a friend of his called and asked if we wanted them. The other tank is my african cichlid tank. I call them the "twins". they sit corner to corner in a custom stand he built.

I'm not too sure haven't done a test in a whole since all my fish r doing good why u ask

Bc I've been trying to get the leopard one you got and they tell me his more a a brakish water . And their sensitive to ph levels

No not true. Leopard ctenopoma are generally a hardy fish and DO NOT NEED brackish water. They come from streams in South America and r plainly freshwater.

Thanks . Next time I see it in my local store I'm getting one .

Since I'm only 13 i only have 2 tanks a 2.5 Betta tank and my 26 gallon Bowfront. I wish I could get more!

I have a 35 gal long would I be able to put an angel or two in there along with neon tetras, some leopard/zebra danios, and a few Cory's?

Yes, but I would start doing a bunch of research on the Angels first before you decide to get them. There are so many things about them, and they can be nice tank mates and sometimes the are awful tank mates depending on the fish and whether you end up with a mated pair or two females or a pair that don't like each other, etc. Because you will need a plan on how to deal with that like have an additional tank, to separate them, or give them for breeding. Then how to raise the eggs....They aren't really an average type of fish.

Also about the Tetras or Danios, they like being in a group with many individuals. Everyone says at least 6. The lfs might say at least 3 (not).

In my opinion for the Neon Tetras, you should start out with maybe 10-12, and quarantine them. They frequently die off easily while getting acclimated to their new tank, so you might only end up with 6-8, but they love being in a school and the more the merrier. They would be my favorite over the Danios, but they are really pretty too. If your water is around 7.5 pH or lower, I would try the Cardinal Tetras.

Here is a pic of mine when they were young. The other fish in the middle is Glowlight Tetra, another nice smallish tetra I really like.

Pretty, I like the Sunset (if that is the right name) White and Golden.

Thanks. Yeh . I got them the size of nickels now they are about 5-6 inches .

I have 4 angels in with ram cichlids, cardinals, guppies, cories, loaches, and barbs. I really lucked out with my angels, they're not aggressive at all and they get along fantastic with everyone in the tank. Even the paired up rams.

Before ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1394255339.411868.jpg
And after, I sold my whale of a pleco and two others half his size today and in turn added some plants ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1394255525.881636.jpg
If you have any ideas suggestions or advise on arrangement or proper planting for the plants it would be greatly appreciated

Hi Cheif! Since you asked, I d move the plant that's in front of the DW to the far right corner & then put moss on the upper parts of the DW. Looking good tho!

Sounds good only I've tried moss over and over it never seems to hold and ends up all over the tank and mixed with other plants, I've tried rubber bands and string but nothing seems to work for me maybe it's the type of moss idk
