i am going to be a father my rams laid eggs today!
about 200 i would say but at least 75% are white so i am hoping
that i will have some wigglers in 2 days.
I did something different this week , from this tank i took out the male and
i gave the female a new male and today eggs!
I know rams like to bond and keep their mate, but nothing was happening for about 6 months now? after trying many different things this worked !

Wouldn't hand out those cigars quite yet. Eggs to wigglers is a massive step for rams. Best of luck!

HAH !
I'll take one of those cigars ...
Sounds like moving them worked ???
around /less then 1 week ?
Congrats man I know you have been working hard on this .

eggs all turned white ! first time for this male ? my tds at 83 temp 82f.
well the good news is that they did lay eggs, maybe more in 2 weeks?

Take the tray away for a day or two .
Give it a wash and let it dry.
Did you remove the eggs or leave them ?
If you removed them how long after laying do you think it was ?
If in question with virility or water I like to leave the eggs for a day if possible.
That way I know I didn't cut them short ?

hi Tom thanks for the reply
they laid eggs in the morning sometimes after 8am i did not see the male come out to eat, at the 12am i still did not see him, at the 4pm feeding i still could not see him (the female was always there in front of the tank) so i looked and found him on top of the eggs, in a cut in half flower pot . i removed the eggs then? i think the eggs were there all day . Next time do i leave them with the parents overnight?

If I am having fertility issue and the parents let me I leave eggs a day or two. That way the eggs are ' more properly cared for ' ?.
Only one way to find out if you have fry / egg eaters !
Keep pumping the pair with good food [I am big on frozen bloodworms] and keep water where it is at.. Make water changes but keep parameters in line .
Test to see if where this new tanks water is at..
