I also initially thought the boat was destroyed by mating whales but they say the bodies were never found? And if I remember correctly there was a fairly extensive search conducted.

As far as what could have destroyed the boat, anything is plausible without hard evidence. But the bodies? You gotta think. It's the ocean. Anything in the water could have eaten them sharks, crabs, etc.

I agree, I had the same question about the bodies. But they also stayed sharks are in and out of that region. I'm sure at least one of them got a scrape or a cut. How many miles away can a shark smell blood again? Lol

You know what, it could be true, I mean, look at the giant squid, it was shown in paintings that they can sink ships, now look at what we found, the colossal squid! Fighting sperm whales!
I really doubt that the colossal squid is the largest squid down there, have you guys seen the long armed squid!( sorry for the squid thing just thought it would be interesting) I think the colossal squid could have been the only capable of standing up to megalodon
This is the long armed squid, might have scared megalodon away lol, it scares me!

Squids are a good theory. Anything is up for grand right now!

That's what I was thinking, the whales upturned the boat, and either they drowned and sharks ate them, or the sharks grabbed them as they where falling

A long ways! Correct me if in wrong but I heard their sense of smell is different too. You know how we can only smell when we breathe in? I heard they can smell through their bodies at all times. I wouldn't doubt it either.

My opinion is that it is very possible. The ocean is a vast unexplored place and I think large species have much better chance of being undiscovered in the depths than anywhere on land and it would not surprise me if a group was lurking was somewhere.
My main thing is that why haven't they left more traces? The giant squid left traces strewn across beaches while all this shark has left is a tooth from 10 000 years ago?

Yea they can smell through an organ extending from the bottom of the eye, to the snout, and to the other eye, they can smell a drop of blood from 1 mile away

Is it not bizarre that they're finding a certain species literally ALL OVER the world? Each siting could possibly be something entirely different each time. Scary stuff lol but the weather changing and surfacing extinct or unheard of species is an interesting theory. Who knows, you might see some raptors appearing out of the amazon eventually.

It's kind of hard for something 6000+ below sea level to surface on shore don't you think? Hahaha

Yea I think that it's the climate change that is changing the behavior of marine animals, and the beaching of whales, especially the mix of fresh water melting from the poles with the salt water

Thats very true. Some people dont realize that all you have to to do is recycle and your saving the earth. Im no tree hugger type but I do my fair share. I wish plastic bags were banned and I dont think we need garbage bags. Its all going to the dump either way. Use a compost and grow a garden with food scraps. Save them cans and sell em for cash. There are so many ways even us at home can save the earth its unbelievable. Dont get me wrong, I want that big muddin truck that consumes 3 gallons per mile still!

I believe in it but I don't think it's as big as people are saying. It just seems unlikely that a fish could get that big.
