So when I went to pick up my BML last week, I actually got to see their entire operation and meet the folks who put our stuff together. It was seriously the most quaint office space in the middle of Austin's warehouse district. I just walked in. Tons of parts were laying all over the front room, with what looked like a fully stocked 75g saltwater tank, loaded with corals - two different lamps were lighting it.

Walk down the hall a bit, and Nick was sitting in a cluttered office on the computer, responding to emails, taking orders, doing forum stuff - he didn't even hear me come in. Between the front room and the back office, there was another room on the right with another tank - looked like it was cycling for fresh water or a FOWLR tank.

To the left of the computer office, you could see where the assembly and testing line stuff happened. Cara was literally in the process of boxing my lamp when I walked in. Nice looking lady, if I do say so. There was another guy at the back of the assembly line doing...something.

The computer room had a window into their oven room. You could see the fancy baking machines.

Talked to Nick a little bit. I pointed out the irony of them using CFL workshop tubes to light their assembly line. He laughed, pointed out that they'd put up a few 72" fixtures, and that they would be moving soon to a new facility due to massive growth. They had had a two-three week backlog, and they've only been around for two years!

Three in the whole company. Surely there's more. So basically there's one person doing all the assembling while one's on the computer and the other packaging. I imagined at least 10-15 people working there....

Apple was just 2 guys for a while, right? Making computers in a garage??

Yeah, my ludwigia repens gained about 2" in the week I've had my BML running, and started turning red again.
