Okay so it has been a while since I've posted in here. I know I know I've changed my mind 100000 times on what to stock this tank with and I have a final conclusion. I already have a tropical community tank and a Betta tank with ADF so for this tank it will be a large fish tank. I added a Senegal Bichir a few days ago and he likes the rock work to hide until he gets settled in. Having trouble getting him to eat but I'm sure he will once he warms up to the tank. I've also ordered a rope fish! I'm so excited to have this feller coming in and will probably get him a friend once I get the hang of caring for the first. I plan on also adding a Raphael catfish and maybe an angel as a centerpiece. I'll keep the big guys well fed so they leave the other fish alone. I've never had big fish like this before so I'm really excited to see them grow.

The Senegal is only about 2.5 inches long. The rope fish coming in eventually (weather problems) will be about 3-4 inches.

I'll try to get some pics up once I figure out using photobucket with this site.

Hmmm that will be interesting. The Rafael catfish will be a cool addition to the tank. Also get more than one ropefish because they like to chill with other ropesfish. Though birchir don't like their own species.

Yea they sell them for 20$ at my LFS too but I just don't have the time to convert my 150g reef to planted [emoji17]

Well I went to the LFS today and picked up a gorgeous angelfish and the Raphael Catfish. Unknowingly I came home and to my surprise find a pretty chilled box (it's snowing outside really good) that held my shivering ropefish... Reluctantly we acclimated him for about 35-40 minutes to get him warmed up and ready and he's now doing great. Loves the plants but not so much the current in the tank. Need to fix the current. The description lied he is definitely NOT 4 inches hahah try like 8-9 inches!!! Super cool fish! PS, my mom thought It was a snake and screamed :p

The Bolivian Ram. He's still warming up to the tank.

Just like my previous pair, the gourami and angel seem to be buddies :) I've never seen such a unique angel before. I saw it at the LFS and said I MUST HAVE THAT ONE!

Here it is. Lots of additions since the last pic :)

I added some hornwort and wanted it to float but it didn't seem to do what I wanted like most things so I didn't "plant" it I more stuffed the bottom into a hole in the rock to keep it in place. Is this okay?

Why do you have O2 on with lights? Do you run co2? You shouldn't run O2 with lights, even more so if you don't have any co2.

I know I know it's an going process. I only get a few hours when I get home from work to do everything before going to bed. It's on my list of things to do. I just gotta set another timer to run opposite to the co2. I'll probably have it done in next few days. Thanks for checking in though.

Meh, could be worse! You could be overstocked! ?

Besides, I run airstones for an hour or two each day and each night. Since I have so many fry, it's adorable to watch them "ride" the current up, swim back down, the go at it again!!

I also have a CO2 system, so running the airstones for a couple of hours here and there just gives me peace of mind...even if it is just fabricated, lol.

Can't wait to see how this keeps progressing!!
