75 gallon livebearer
55 gallon guppy mansion
10 gallon shrimp w/endlers
All planted.

My family enjoys watching livebearers and cory and their fry.
My son also has 2 tanks upstairs, he recently gave me 3 peppered cory his corys had.
He's now raising baby mystery snails, I don't have any ...yet.

How many livebearers can you fit in the 75 gallon? Do you use co2 in your tanks?

Corys are one my favorite. The sterbais!

Like many here I stock lightly, plant heavily, and overfilter.

However I'm currently stocked more heavily than I like. Have about 15 platys and swordtails, but know they will breed. I also have some cherry barbs and zebra snails I'm gonna regime before I get fry. Have 8 panda and 6 peppered corys.

Oops.. Sorry forgot to say.
Currently low light/ low tech plants but slowly getting plants with higher requirements.
No co2, but currently researching NilocG products for macro fertilizer, and considering getting co2.

Ah i see. How helpful is fertilizer? Would you reccomend plant tabs?

I have had good results with my pool filter sand using only micro (trace elements) fertilizer, but many swear you need , and probably should use root tabs.

Macro fertilizer ( n-p-k, like garden fertilizer) is necessary for higher light & co2.

Trying to get some more difficult medium level plants. Have a Finnex 24/7 planted + light, but with the height of my tank it doesn't reach the substrate very strongly so I'm gonna supplement it with a fluorescent light I have.

Macro and micro will always be beneficial to plants regardless of par.

Nutrients and co2 can take a low par tank and make it a tank as worthy as a high par system.

Nutrient like plant tabs? I am going to set up a c02 most likely. I need to get a diffuser

Root tabs depending on which ones you make or buy will typically contain macro and certain micro nutrients.

Seachem root tabs or diy osmocote plus are two popular options. Can buy gel caps online to use with osmocote.

I have white film all over my substrate ans plants and my plants lose color. @flchamp89 1491726641100.jpg1491726649616.jpg

Looks like some plants are melting. HG needs seperated.

Does it vac up? Whats the plant laying on substrate?

I read through your post what's your substrate? I may have missed it and don't remember.

Could it be the too hot? I leave the heater on high ans lights on 24/7.

What is vac up? The planta are in black flourite sand.

Timer is very important. Cant run light 24/7. Not good for algae. Need get a timer asap
