I have live plants so I can only have my light in for 8 hours a day. I like to view my fish so I’ve left it on longer and I had a algae issue. Is there any kind of light I can turn on after the 8 hours of light for my plants that won’t cause any issues so I can still view my fish ?
My mother has 3 of these fish and she wants to get rid of them. I want to take them but I can’t find much online about them. If anyone can answer a few questions about them for me I’d be truly great full. I have a 55 gallon tank with 7 Corydoras, would the barbs attack them? These barbs are...
I put in water conditioner when I added the new water to the 55 2 days ago. I will be transferring over all live plants and decor. But I did put a new substrate in the 55 so I won’t be adding the substrate from the 29 to the 55. Also the 55 came with a new filter, that being said I did put my...
I have a 29 gallon hex tank that is cycled and full of fish. I bought a 55 gallon recently to transfer my fish to. If I switch over all my media from the 29 to the 55 will it be instantly cycled ?
All the plants in my tank are ferns. They are easy to grow plants for beginners and they thrive. You don’t need to add any fertilizer for them all you will need is a good light. I bought mine off amazon and my plants have been doing great for about 6 months!
I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do about this. I’ve read I need a saltwater tank to transfer her to in order for the babies to survive. I do not have a cycled tank that is saltwater to do so. Or another tank in general for that matter. Will she be fine staying in the freshwater tank ? And she...
I had 4 of these guys. Recently one of them looked sick and wouldn’t eat. He is completely gone from my tank with no sign at all of dying. That being said while I did a water change this morning another one of them were dead on the bottom. All my other fish in the tank look great and very...
You seem to have gotten the answers to your questions on cloudy water. In my personal experience while I was doing my fish less cycle(which took 7 weeks before I could add fish to my 29 gallon) the white cloudy water was due to a bacteria bloom. This bloom resolved itself with no damage because...
I thought these would be bottom dwellers and help clean up my substrate and plants. But ever since they have been added to my tank they just stay up at the top of the tank. I read something saying maybe they don’t have enough oxygen down at the bottom of the tank. I have four different ferns in...
