I have live plants so I can only have my light in for 8 hours a day. I like to view my fish so I’ve left it on longer and I had a algae issue. Is there any kind of light I can turn on after the 8 hours of light for my plants that won’t cause any issues so I can still view my fish ?

My school of Corydoras are my favorite. They are incredibly active and great substrate cleaners ! But it’s between them and my amano shrimp.

For the record, the sponge filter did the trick. My amano shrimp and wandering the bottom for food and picking away at my plants and decor.

I added a sponge filter to maybe get them to migrate down to the bottom. Ik it will take a while to build up goodies for them.

Make sure you get a pleco that stays small. I have a 29 gallon tank and recently added a clown pleco. In perfect conditions the grow 5 inches at most. And he does a great job on algae cleanup !
