I can’t find your filter online... does it have a place for filter media? Like bio rings? Or is it just a mechanical filtration with carbon pack? IMO the Aqua Clear 50 at the least or better with the Aqua clear 70 .. The bigger the better, It uses the bio rings for biological filtration...

I did almost the same thing... did not wash the sand good enough.. I did two large water changes and used a 24 in gravel cleaner to get the dust out of the sand.. I was clear in a few days note the long gravel cleaner alows the sand to settel out of the tube. I use this to clean my sand now...

4ppm is the goal. I used a medicine syringe to measure the amount of AMM , will take a little trial and error to figure the amount to add, Q? is it pure AMM or 10% or what? You will need to know exactly how much AMM to add to get it to adjust the levels up by 1ppm at a time.

the Daffidills look like the have paired up already. pretty much 50 50 Julis are a little skitish still no way to tell yet Cry are allready showing growth wow! I guess the will be 2 1/2" in a month or two the speciosus are little bull dogs i think 3m and 3 f one M has about 1/2 the shell right...

to fishless cycle it is best to have a relable test kit like api master water test. the ammoniu dose should close to 4ppm make sure that you have declorinaded the water with a product like PRIME.. If you levels are above 8pmm this will stop all growth and kill any you bactera you have. IMO just...

well you can clean aquaiurm glass with salt and it kind of an abbrasive and it is also innert to the tank. sound good?
