my coralline algae is spreading but it is also having little strands coming off of it that are red (as is the algae) i will try to get a pic.

on march 1st i added enough ammonia to get me to 4ppm. right now i am at .5-1ppm of ammonia, 1pp nitrite, and 40 nitrates. earlier (around 2 oclock eastern) i was at 2ppm ammonia, 1 nitrite, and 10 nitrates. when should i add more ammonia to keep the cycle going?
