^I agree completely. The filter is fine and what you replace the carbon with is completely up to you IMO. I also use 2 foams and a biomax, but I know other who prefer to use 2 biomax, 1 foam.

I totally recommend her as well. She is located about 20 minutes away from me and is my source for fish, snails, and shrimp. Very nice lady, great stock!

They've spawned three times (about every three weeks) but so far they've all been eaten- usually once the eggs progress to wigglers. I think the movement really attracts the attention of the other fish in the tank.

Mine love the Omega One Cichlid flakes, and Hikari frozen bloodworms. They also eat brine shrimp and love snacking on the duckweed in my tank. Not every picky eaters, IME!

Agreed. Would def suggest adding to the number you have. Aggression is less likely with tetra when in schools of 6+

They are very cool. My angels are pretty silly though- while they guard them like dragons during the day, they sleep with the other angels in their normal spot back in the back of the tank at night. They spawned yesterday for the third time but the eggs always seem to disappear within a day or...

I like the way it looks when it grows across the top of my tank and it's not messy like duckweed or some of the other floating plants!

Thanks, it was even more difficult to pick pieces than I imagined. Luckily, I've bought from the supplier before and she is willing to let me exchange pieces if I have to!

If I can fit them all in..yes! My 50 gal is a very short tank, so not a lot of height to work with. For reference, the piece in the 2nd pic is about 10"x23"..there wasn't much of anything smaller than that.
